PROGRAM INFORMATION
Students may not use CCS, ARH, REL, or HUM prefix courses to meet any liberal studies requirements.
Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all 42 units of major coursework.
At least 21 units must be taken at NAU, including CCS 250, 350W, 490C and 12 upper division units in
the emphasis.
*9 units must be taken from 3 of the following 4 areas:
 Ancient–Baroque: ARH 340, 341, 342, 343, 344, 345, 346 and topics classes as approved by
advisor.
 Modern-Contemporary: ARH 257, 347, 351, 352, 353, 355, 356, and topics classes as approved
by advisor
 Non Western (Asian, Native American, Pre-Columbian): ARH 269, 270, 361, 365, 370, 380 and
topics classes as approved by advisor
 Museum Studies: ARH 250, 350, 360 and topics classes as approved by advisor
***6 units from two different prefixes, selected from 100/200 level courses in AM, CVC, HUM, or REL.
GENERAL INFORMATION









This degree progression plan is to be used in conjunction with the academic catalog and degree progress
report.
Students should see an academic advisor regularly to confirm their academic progress.
Students must see an academic advisor before enrollment for the 7th term in preparation for graduation.
Many courses have pre-requisites. Please check the academic catalog for pre-requisite and placement
information.
Honors students complete different requirements to meet NAU's liberal studies program. Students should
consult an Honors Program advisor for complete information on fulfilling Honors Liberal Studies
requirements.
All students are required to complete at least 120 total units which includes:

- 30 units of upper division courses (300-400 level), 18 of these units must be taken at NAU
