Experiment
Launch a balloon to determine a difference in muon count rate
Compare with count rate at sea level and at ground level
PMT1-
7.15V
Discrim 1-
.300 V
PMT2-
7.30V
Discrim 2
.185 V
Data From Launch
Data on the ground for 30 minutes
Took readings every 2 minutes and calculated the rate
Average count rate of 4.16 Hz

Raw Data and Errors
Compared to…
Data at LuLu’s Café at sea level
Data outside the
Natural Sciences building
Conclusion
Data collection was successful despite the errors.
The low count rate of the aerial data could be due to the wind that blew the balloon at an angle thereby reducing the altitude
Next Year
Do a quick check for light leaks
Check with my plateau graphs
Make sure batteries are charged
Investigate GPS problem, the cable is broken
