Waste Diversion Action Team
Charge:
Create and implement programs that divert all waste stream materials from the Landfill.
Objectives:
The objectives or actions should include but are not limited to such things as:

Expand the current recycling pilot program campus wide
Investigate exterior receptacles for recycle parity
Move-in and Move-out
Composting
Participation in Recyclmania (#7 or 7 of ACUPCC requirements)
Food Waste Diversion Plan utilizing: LeanPath, Composting, EPA Challenge &
WasteWise reporting, Food Purchasing Policies, Donations.
7. Promote the “Leave Green” donation program through res life.
8. Construction waste; Using LEED guidelines to help reduce construction waste in
all construction on campus in order to help our school become a zero waste
campus.
9. Promote zero waste Athletic events, which will probably involve coordinating with
Sodexo.
