Kristine: What does by-laws say? Senator Sowerwine: Is it the same things as the sanction fee? Presenter: Yes, we need both to go to the competition. Kristine: I don’t see anything, but we can’t reimburse the club since it is individuals and vice versa. Chair Dietlin: We don’t have record of it, because it was individuals last year. President Buchta: EMSA might not reimburse even if it is approved and we have to reimburse who paid the fee not the club. Senator L’Ecuyer: If it gets passed can we still do it? Chair Dietlin: Yeah, the majority would be to the club. Senator L’Ecuyer: Can we ask the club if they would like to continue through the process? Presenter: Yes. Senator Anderson: Can we have them submit a new packet? Chair Dietlin: It is club funding not individual issue. Senator Moore-Sharp: If it comes back without being reimbursed what would you do? Presenter: We will try to get funding elsewhere. It is a little over $50 per person so we would like to try to give it back to our members. Kristine: Consider if you fund this you might open a door for others to come in looking for funding to pay dues. Senator Davis: I think in the past we have moved away from doing this. Senator L’Ecuyer: I was going to second what Kyle said. Senator Ridge: I think the budget is permitting to allow it. Senator Mathew: What if we were to table and look further into it for next week? Senator Moor-Sharp: I was thinking about us following our by laws and we have been very flexible on everything else. I think that we need to really follow what the laws say. Senator Graham: If we send this with that there is a chance they won’t pay it, but it won’t hurt to send it. Also if you are sitting at the front desk please remind them to wait to come to appropriations. That is a huge issue. Senator Anderson: It is really important you read over your bills, it is really embarrassing to amend the entire bill packet every week. Look over it once or twice, like Santa Clause or something. He doesn’t want to do one, because the ambassadors of the college do a breakfast like event. Also he is really busy, so we are not going to plan one. Senator Mathew: That reminds me our dean was upset, because he couldn’t go so can we do something else? Chair Dietlin: Talk to Lauren, if we have the money I don’t see a problem. b.
