1. Significant properties from the Presentation_Buffalo_v2.0.pptx file. Content, context, appearance, behavior, structure. 2. Significant properties not preserved within Presentation_Buffalo_v2.0.odp file. - - Structure: the “special effects” were not operating in the same manner as before Content: Because of the structure failure, some context was either cut off or left out Appearance: this was affected by both the structure and the context. The font isn’t as clear as it is in the original, the images and text do not fit the pages as well as they had before Context: I compared the documents’ properties with one another, and found that their metadata seemed to be the same; however, this .odp file did not have nearly the same amount of information in its metadata 3. Differences between the two migrations. Reason for the difference? The font is still not perfect in the Presentation_Buffalo_v2.0_old-ppt.odp file, but better than the first .odp file. The “special effects” work as they are supposed to, as intended in the original. Also, the text and photos fit better inside the slides. The potential reason for this difference could be that .pptx, being a “newer” version of a PowerPoint file, that OpenOffice has not yet kept up with the software advances and has an easier time migrating an older version (.ppt).
