Questions – in this worksheet, you will use Excel formulas to complete the total amounts for sales, cost of goods sold, gross margin, and sales in quantity for the months of January, February, and March 2016. You need to complete the table, providing formulas for a total of 12 items that need to be completed in the table. The objective of this assignment is to determine how best to obtain the total amount of sales, cost of goods sold, gross margin and quantity sold per month. All of the information you need to determine these values are provided to you in the various worksheets. As with most things in Excel, there is more than one way to complete this. However, I would encourage you to apply the lessons that we have learned in class and think about what is the most effective and efficient way to complete the assignment with the greatest accuracy possible. You should NOT be sorting and summing or filtering to obtain the answers. Examples of functions that I would expect you to use on this assignment include: vlookups, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, relative referencing, absolute referencing, and/or pivot tables. Required Deliverables to be submitted: 1. UBlearns Submission: a. Excel file that includes the completed ‘Questions’ worksheet. This file will be submitted via UBlearns. 2. Completion of a Test in UBlearns: a. Once you have finalized your answers in the Excel file, you will complete a test in UBlearns that corresponds to the last digit of your UB student ID number. Be sure to have your electronic file nearby as you will need to enter in the answers obtained for the ‘Questions’ worksheet. You will only be given one chance to complete the test so make sure that you are ready to complete it before you hit ‘Begin’.
