The final exam will be optional for any student who achieves an average of 80% or more based on the three semester exams. If you do not take the final exam your final grade will be entirely based on your test average. If you take all three semester exams and the final exam your grade will be based on the greater of the following: (a) the weighted average of the test scores and the final exam score, with each test counting 20% and the final exam 40%. (b) the weighted average of the highest two test scores and the final exam with each test counting 20% and the final exam 60%. If you miss any one of the three semester exams your final exam will count as 60% of your grade and the remaining two exams 20% each. No make up test will be given. If you miss a second semester exam you may be allowed to make it up by taking a make-up test at a designated time near the end of the semester. You must furnish satisfactory documentation as to why you failed to take the second missed exam. A second missed exam that is not made up will be counted as a zero in calculating your final average. +/- grades will be assigned. ______________________________ EXAMS Exam Date #1 9/26/05 #2 10/24/05 #3 12/05/05 Final Exam Topics Study Guide for Test #1 Study Guide for Test #2 Study Guide for Test #3 12/15/05 (Thurs.)
