Strategic purpose statement
The purpose of this qualification is to provide communities in
New Zealand with people who are able to apply theoretical and
technical knowledge to acute prescribing with homeopathy.
Graduates will be able to work as a member of an integrative
health team in a variety of homeopathic settings and will have
some responsibility for the management of learning and
performance of others.

The graduate of this qualification will be able to:

Treat clients with acute conditions using homeopathic
principles.

Prescribe homeopathic remedies for acute conditions.

Work ethically and professionally to ensure legal
responsibilities are met in the homeopathic setting.

Differentiate indispositions and acute and chronic states for
client safety using knowledge of aetiology and
symptomology.

Apply knowledge of homeopathic principles of disease
processes to clients and, where necessary, make referral to
appropriate health professionals in a healthcare setting.

Communicate effectively and safely about a range of health
issues and homeopathy with clients and other healthcare
providers.

Qualification award
This qualification may be awarded by any education organisation
accredited under section 250 of the Education Act 1989 to deliver
a programme leading to the award of this qualification.
The formal document certifying the award of this qualification will
display the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) logo
and may also include the name or logo of the awarding body.
Evidence requirements for
assuring consistency
All Tertiary Education Organisations (TEOs) either arranging
training or delivering programmes that lead to the award of the
qualification are required to participate in a consistency review
scheduled by NZQA.

Graduates’ assessment evidence (e.g. completed
assessment activities and Moderation reports.
