StrengthsQuest Online Assessment K-State has a program where entering undergraduate students take the StrengthsQuest online assessment to find out what their strengths are. This test helps you better understand what your strengths are and provides insights into how you interact on teams and with others. Until the end of the fall semester, the Engineering Research and Graduate Program Office is providing a code for all untenured faculty to take the StrengthsQuest assessment and learn your strengths. Learn more about the Strengths Quest at the below websites at K-State as well as doing a search on the internet. http://www.k-state.edu/strengthsquest/ http://www.k-state.edu/acic/strengths/strengths.html If you would like to take the assessment, please email Chassy Nichols, chassy@ksu.edu, and she will provide you with the code. It takes about 20-30 minutes to complete but we believe it will be useful information. We are also working on some possible workshops to discuss how to take advantage of your 1 strengths and build teams. Some faculty have done this with their graduate students and UG researchers as well to help everyone better understand our differences. College of Engineering Develops Research Keywords Database If you have not done so already, now is the time to enter, update or publish your Key Words information and bios. The research keywords database as a way for K-State colleagues and outside entities to easily identify areas of expertise of engineering faculty, and provide potential connections and opportunities. Engineering Undergraduate Poster Forum The forum will be held the evening of Thursday, December 3 in the Rathbone and Fiedler atriums. This is an opportunity for undergraduate researchers to share their research and creative inquiry projects with the community. Abstract submission opened on October 12. Working with Industry Workshop The workshops will help faculty prepare for industry interactions during the K-State Research Showcase on Feb. 3, 2016.
