PURPOSE
The purpose is to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Florida Statutes, Florida
Building Code and other applicable laws, codes, standards, rules and regulations.
PROCEDURE
New construction and remodeling projects are to be in full compliance with all applicable accessibility
codes.
The Associate Vice President of Facilities Management and Construction in conjunction with the
College’s Building Code Staff, is responsible to review design drawings and inspect projects during
construction to ensure compliance with the 2012 Florida Accessibility Code which is a stand-alone
volume within the Florida Building Code.
