The Greekly Weekly Your job is to create a copy of The Greekly Weekly. You will read many different mythological stories and collect the “5W” for each story and then decide which are the most newsworthy to write your articles about. You must include the following: 1. News Report: You should write at least two (2) front page articles for TGW. They should include the “5W” and an “interview” from someone at the scene. These articles must be a minimum of 150 words each. 2. Gossip Column: Your job is to write at least one (1) gossip article for the newspaper. For a really good gossip column, you should highlight dramatic topics such as love affairs, break-ups, love-triangles, feuding families, and/or friends. This article must be at least 100 words in length. 3. Public Relations Announcement/ Advertisement: Your job is to design at least one (1) advertisement for The Greekly Weekly. This advertisement can be for restaurants, clothing stores, movies, or products. They must relate to Greek mythology. For example, you could design an advertisement for Aphrodite’s Dating Service. These advertisements do not have to have a word length, but must include graphics to help sell the product. 4. Photography: Your job is to create at least three (3) pictures for the newspaper. These pictures should relate to the articles and have a caption. One picture may be counted for the cover page. These pictures can be drawn or printed. *Extra Credit Opportunity.
