Outreach’s Annual planning retreat was a success – many items as we head into 2015-16 were discussed with a few changes to services planned – stay tuned. Out-of-state recruiting is tentatively set to expand to Chicago, St. Louis, and Louisville thanks to Ambassador Ariel Stephenson who is transferring to Southern Illinois. Discussions continue to better join and integrate the Outreach and the Enrollment Management Plans heading into the 2015-16 academic year. Expansion of classes offered on local high school campuses will begin this fall with additional classes added in the spring 2016 Student Development/ASO/ICC/AGS The Student Development Office is recommending that we purchase a new computer software program called Maxient in order to record, monitor, and report on information pertaining to student conduct. Three vendors were invited to present during the spring 2015 and Maxient was found to be the most responsive to our needs and the computer software program that most California community colleges are utilizing. The initial quote from Maxient includes a one-time setup cost of $6,000 with an annual subscription cost of $10,000 with a possible increase each year of no more than 8%. A formal comparison chart for all three vendors will be provided for review by the Vice Presidents and possibly Cabinet. The goal is to purchase and implement student conduct software for the Fall Semester 2015. The new incoming student officers for ASO and ICC for the 2015-2016 Academic Year starting July 1st is listed below. If you know a student who would be interested in being in ASO, please get them in contact with Breanna von Stein kvonstein@elcamino.edu . They will need to fill out an application and go through the interview process. A.S.
