Core competency maps completed for all courses and all programs reflecting better alignment of all levels of SLOs Data collection for first core competency assessment took place in Spring 2010 Better tracking of number of SLOs in existence as well as number of SLOs assessed (inventories) Updated list of deadlines created Program reviews reflect closer linkage of this process and the SLO process In Spring 2010, the appointment of 6 facilitators and more reassigned time for coordinator made this progress possible. Faculty and staff who have performed assessment in the core competency area being assessed will be asked to give a short presentation on their findings and conclusions. At the end of these presentations, a facilitator will ask summit participants to think about commonalities and differences in the presented assessment studies. 2. The Assessment of Learning Committee will present the data from the core competency assessment. 3. Summit participants will be broken into groups based on their general area of the campus (e.g. Basic Skills, GE, CTE, etc.). The groups will be asked to reflect on the data and its implications for their particular area. 4. The groups will report out their findings and conclusions. 4
