STDcheck.com scholarships STDcheck.com offers scholarships throughout the year to college students who are HIV-positive. Scholarship amounts vary between $250 - $5,000 and will depend upon essays submitted and well as the following requirements. Applicants must currently be HIV positive, be accepted or enrolled at a college or university in the United States and studying or intending to attend at full time status. The scholarships’ amounts will vary between $250-$5,000 dependent upon application submissions. There is not an application deadline for this scholarship as STDcheck reviews incoming applications monthly and allots scholarships out to top candidates monthly. These scholarships are presented to individual applicants on a one-time basis and all selected applicants will be kept anonymous to the public. For more information and to apply visit the STDcheck.com HIV-Positive Scholarship page or in the footer of STDcheck.com. 2016 Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire The Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire recognizes and supports individuals with ADHD in the US who are pursuing higher education at a college, vocational school, or technical school in the United States. The Scholarship includes a $2,000 monetary award and a prepaid year of ADHD coaching from the Edge Foundation to assist in the transition to higher education. The scholarship program is for legal residents of the United States diagnosed with AttentionDeficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who are accepted to or will be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college, university, trade school, technical school, or vocational school in the United States. Students who are enrolled in graduate programs are not eligible for this scholarship. Karina Eide Memorial Scholarship for Dyslexic students The Dyslexic Advantage Karina Eide Memorial Scholarship Program will award scholarships of $2500 to sixteen dyslexic students who are currently enrolled in college, university, or vocational school. The purpose of these awards is to identify and support the development of dyslexic students with outstanding future potential who may not be competitive for other scholarships that are based on grades or test scores. Scholarship funds are to be used to pay tuition or other school-related expenses. Further information is available in the Karina Eide Memorial Scholarship flyer. 2016-2017 Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students The California State University's Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students is for $10,000 and will be awarded for the 2016-2017 academic year. Visit the Dale M.
