Doctoral Research Associate Berrios, Paulina (Chile) Address: Email: berrios.pauli@gmail.com Educational Administration & Policy Studies School of Education University at Albany, SUNY Albany, NY 12222 Biography Paulina Berrios is a PhD student of the Department of Educational Administration and Policy Studies (EAPS), State University of New York at Albany, and a Doctoral Research Associate at PROPHE. Berrios earned both her Professional degree of Sociologist and her MS in Gender Studies and Culture from University of Chile. Berrios has worked as a university professor and researcher in gender studies and higher education in Chile. She also worked as national program for women leaders in politics team lead before she joint EAPS. Additionally, Berrios has published several articles about career development and access to leadership positions by female professors, as well as a recent book (2011) by an Spanish Academic Editorial based in her Master thesis’ research findings on female university professors in Chile. Berrios was a fellow for the 2011 Center for Women in Government and Civil Society Fellowship Program for women leaders in Public Policy in New York State. She has also presented papers in Chile, Mexico, Spain (via teleconference), Canada, and the U.S. Berrios dissertation topic is part-time professors and full-time professors differentiation among Chilean universities with focus on academic work, career development, institutional engagement, and politics and governance participation, among others. In addition, other research interests include, gender and private higher education, female leadership in higher education institutions, minority groups in higher education, and women in politics.
