Title: Feed Fribbit Purpose: Practice subtraction with number sentences Grade Level: 1st TEKS Reference: (1)(3) Number, operation, and quantitative reasoning. The student recognizes and solves problems in addition and subtraction situations. The student is expected to: model and create addition and subtraction problem situations with concrete objects and write corresponding number sentences; and use concrete and pictorial models to apply basic addition and subtraction facts (up to 9 + 9 = 18 and 18 – 9 = 9). Click start. 2. Choose easy (sums go up by 1 each level) or pro (sums go up by 5 each level). 3. Look at given number sentence and figure out the missing number. 4. Find fly with the correct number and click the fly. 5. The frog will then eat the fly and the number sentence will change. 6. After each round the player is notified that the sums are increasing. 7. During the third round, dragon flies are introduced. These are just a way to get 50 extra points. If player misses dragon fly, nothing happens. 8. During the sixth round, a crocodile is introduced. Player must hit the spacebar to jump over crocodile, or the frog will be eaten. 9. Some extra characters are not introduced at the start of the level, but the player can click on them to know what to do in the future: 10. Planes will fly across the screen starting at the fourth or fifth round. If the flog eats the plane, he will lose a life. 11. Fish will jump out of the water around the fifth round.
