Mayor Edwin M. Lee will honor nine outstanding San Francisco Unified School District
(SFUSD) educators as the Mayor’s 2015-2016 Teacher and Principal of the Year tonight at
a San Francisco Giants Pre-Game Homeplate Ceremony at AT&T Park for Teacher
Appreciation Month.

Faculty Updates - Congratulations

Sandy Rosen for receiving the Lawrence E. Blaha Award from the Association for
Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER). The Lawrence
E. Blaha Award was initiated in 1968 to honor people who have shown exemplary
behavior in the field of Orientation & Mobility, made outstanding contributions to the
profession, and are dedicated to serving people with visual impairments. It is the
highest honor that the O&M Division can bestow. Sandy will be receiving her
award at the 2016 AER International Conference this summer in Jacksonville,
Florida.

Pam Hunt has been selected as the 2015-2016 recipient for the Distinguished Faculty
Award in Excellence in Professional Achievement Award at San Francisco State
University.

Marcia Raggio was awarded the 2016 American Academy of Audiology Presidential
Award.
