1. Research “What is a biorhythm?” so you understand enough to interpret your biorhythm.
2. Print off your biorhythm with “today’s date” as the target date. Print a copy (or copy and paste into a
word document then print it).
3. What is a biorhythm and how is it determined. (COMPLETE SENTENCES )
4. Answer the following questions:

5. Assuming all biorhythm graphs have the same amplitude of 1, write a sine function for each cycle:

6. Many websites will also graph your composite cycle. The composite cycle is the sum of the physical,
intellectual, and emotional cycles. Write and equation for the composite graph:

7. Write a paragraph (typed, double spaced, one-inch margins, MINIMUM one page essay,
12- Times New Roman or Arial Font) using the following as a guideline.
a. Name and hour as a header, right aligned
b. Paragraph One: what is a biorhythm, how does it work, what is the concept
based on, what are the three major cycles and what are the lengths of these
cycles
c. Paragraph Two: What is your birth date? Interpret your biorhythm.
i. Birth Date as Target – patterns in your cycles…..describe the three major
cycles as they relate to today’s date…..example: Are you peaking
emotionally or hitting rock bottom???
ii. Relate the cycles to events that happened in the past two weeks. Do you
think your biorhythm is accurate? Explain and expand.
d. Paragraph Three: What are some ways you could use your biorhythm in the
future? How do these curves relate to the sine and cosine functions? What is the
period of each of the cycles? Exactly what dates (month and day) will each of
your cycles peak again.
e. Paragraph Four: Using the internet, find one other areas/subjects/uses for the
sine and cosine curve. Copy and paste the URL into your paper along with the
data set representing the sinusoidal curve. Write 2-3 sentences interpreting WHY
your data will graph to be a periodic sinusoidal function.
f. Paragraph Five: Conclusion. You know what to do…………tie this all together.
8. Submit your cover page, biorhythm, and essay (in this order). You may copy and paste
your biorhythms to the beginning of you essay.
