Find out what is available to you Writing center, Tutoring center, Counselors, etc. Ask questions and ask for help! If you don’t ask, no one will know that you need help! Be open to advice from successful people! Ask how they succeeded in school 6/29/2016 6 Build Your Levels of Responsibility! Be Responsible! Show up for class, ON TIME! Know the expectations of your instructor and do your work! Have at least 2, if not more, study buddies in each of your classes Try to pick other students who take success seriously 6/29/2016 7 Build Your Levels of Flexibility! Be Flexible! When assignments are changed, go with the flow. Create a life outside of school that will allow you to succeed Incorporate back ups for work and home Trade babysitting Trade work schedules Eat healthy, exercise, and sleep! Plan work time and playtime! 6/29/2016 8 Challenges and Road Blocks The outside world will try to stop you from succeeding! Stick to it Overcome it Just do it and do it NOW! Don’t procrastinate!
