You are going to create an animation using SCRATCH. This counts as a 300 point project as you will be using many of the skills we have worked on throughout the semester. Remember that all animations should be school appropriate ; no blood and guts, no drugs, no questionable behavior or references.
Judging what is and is not appropriate content is the sole discretion of the teacher. The use of
inappropriate content will result in an automatic 0 (zero). If you are unsure, ask!!!!

In a Word Document, answer the following questions:
Type out the questions and answers in full sentences; Points will be deducted for spelling and grammatical errors.

What is the purpose of the animation? Just for fun or is there a message?

What characters or sprites will you use?

Will you need costumes? If so, How many?

What do you want the characters (Sprites) to do? How will they move on the stage?
5.
What backgrounds will you need to stage the animation?

Now that you have made some decisions, you are ready to create a story board for your animation.
Once that is complete you will be ready to get to work programming your animation…GOOD LUCK!
Remember, the goal is to work on problem solving skills…you won’t necessarily get it right the first time, so DON’T Worry! Keep Trying!
*****Storyboarding*****
One of the best ways to see a game is to storyboard it — to create a sequence of drawings that shows the levels of the game or the different scenes and goals. Each storyboard should include a paragraph or two to describe what is going on. Figure 1 depicts a basic storyboard for an imaginary shoot-'em-up game.
This is A Typical Game Storyboard.
As you can see, the storyboard has six frames; each frame represents a different level of the game, and the final frame is the goal. Notice that the storyboards are sketched and messy. Storyboard sketches are used only for brainstorming and for getting down on paper the general flow of the game.
On a blank word document, create a story board by inserting a table that is at least 3 x 3 making at least
6 Cells (you can use more if you want). Each cell represents one frame in the storyboard. Copy and
Paste characters you find on the internet to represent the sprites you will use in your game. Insert text boxes to convey descriptions or interactions of sprites in each frame. REMEMBER the Story Board is meant to give an idea of how your game will look and act.
Create your game in SCRATCH. The Rubric Below is what will be used to grade your project.
