3. Field progress. Briefly describe your efforts to complete field requirements (i.e., literature review,

4. Dissertation progress last year. Ph.D. Students: Briefly describe your efforts to recruit a dissertation
chair and committee members, identify a dissertation topic, find data, etc. Ph.D. Candidates: Briefly outline the
current state of your dissertation, listing how many chapters you have drafted, how many chapters your
committee has reviewed, and how many are work-in-progress.
5. Frequency and adequacy of contact with advisors last year. Describe how often you meet with
your advisors last year and what those meetings were used for. Assess the adequacy of your contact with your
advisors.
6. Timeline. Outline your planned coursework and dissertation research starting with the Fall 2006 term through
the completion of your dissertation. (You may cut & paste in text from your Tentative Degree Program, if you
have one.)
7. Participation in the intellectual life of the Department, College, and University. List
cumulatively any lecture series, brown bags, seminars, workshops, symposiums, study groups, dissertation
review groups, etc. that you have participated in regularly during your doctoral studies at the Rockefeller
College, with the most recent events first. Describe your level of participation in one sentence for each event or
meeting listed. If you presented at any of these meetings, list the title and date of the presentation. Add lines to
