Title: The Oral Presentation
Lesson: Public Speaking Presentation
Classroom Activity
Purpose:
The purpose of this activity is to allow the student to gain experience in giving an oral
presentation to an audience.
Activity Directions:
Each student is to develop, research, and prepare a current agricultural topic to be presented in
front of the class. The student will give a 6-8 minute oral presentation using flash cards, and/or
presentation aides.
Material Needed:
1. Presentation aides---overhead projector, screen, computer presentation software, flip chart,
etc.
2. Transparencies, slides, 3 x 5 inch cards, etc.
Notes to teacher: The students can be challenged by participating in the FFA Prepared and/or
Extemporaneous Public Speaking contests.
