Bearing in mind, the need to update the House of Representatives bylaws to reflect the transition
from quarters to semesters beginning during the next academic year 2012 – 2013,
The Wright State University House of Representatives,
1. Calls for the following changes under Articles XIII, XIV, and XV of the House of
Representatives Bylaws:
a. Line N under Article XIII, be stricken,
b. Line P under Article XIII, to read “election shall take place by the 10th week of
Spring Semester”,
c. Line S under Article XIII, be stricken and replaced with “Shall be responsible for
overseeing the setup and teardown of hammocks during Fall and Spring
Semester”,
d. Line D under Article XIV, to read “Shall take minutes for all house meetings and
deliver (preferably by email) all meeting minutes within one (1) week to
organizations. *If a House of Representatives secretary is appointed, this will fall
under their purview”,
e. Line E under Article XIV, shall be stricken,
f. Line F under Article XIV, to read “Shall be responsible for acquiring speakers for
leadership series for the House of Representatives meetings”,
g. Line I under Article XIV, be stricken,
h. Line E under Article XV, to read “Shall attend at least 5 out of 7 House of
Representatives Meetings per semester to remain a voting member and in good
standing”,
i. Line E under Article XV, to have a sub clause c. to read “All organizations will be
deemed in “good standing” at the beginning of each academic year”,
j. Line E, sub clause a. under Article XV, to read “Good standing is defined as,
“Having attended at least 5 out of 7 House of Representatives meetings for the
previous semester””,
k. Line E, sub clause b. under Article XV, to read “A newly formed Student
Organization will remain in good standing until they have been a member of the
House of Representatives for one entire semester. After that semester, the stated
organization shall be subject to the stated requirements”,
l. Line F, sub clause c. under Article XV, to read “Participate in April Craze”,
