5. General Course Objectives:
Instruction for advanced hands on training for students on the skills and procedures
required for touch up automotive refinishing. Applies specialized techniques in touch
up automotive refinishing on live jobs

Upon completion of ABRP 44H the student should be able to:

Identify and describe safety and health hazards related to the handling and
usage of the base coat/clear coat urethane refinishing systems.
Describe and demonstrate special procedures for preparation of a vehicle
surface for touch up refinish with base coat/clear coat materials.
Demonstrate and explain special application techniques for a touch up
refinish using a base coat/clear coat refinish system.
Identify and determine the unique problems related to the application of
these systems and the corrective procedures that must be applied to insure
an acceptable touch up refinish.
