People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of dyed carpet inspection, and inspect dyed carpet. Evidence requirements 1.1 Dyed carpet inspection is described in terms of the inspection process and the reasons for inspection. Range 1.2 reasons – identification of faults, classification of faults, grading of carpet piece. Types of fault are identified and described. Range lines, pattern registration, uneven application, bowing, skewing, shade.
