Evidence requirements

1.1 Prediction using a computerised colour measurement system is described in terms of the system requirements and the prediction mechanism.

Outcome 2

Predict shade using a computerised colour measurement system.

Evidence requirements

2.1 Data input meets system requirements for shade prediction and type of substrate being used.

Range substrate, shade tolerance, dye ranges, number of predictions, level of metamerism, sort priority by cost or metamerism, light source, other data required by the installed system.

2.2 Selected prediction gives required shade and meets cost, technical, and performance requirements.

Outcome 3

Produce a shade correction using a computerised colour measurement system.

Evidence requirements

3.1 Shade of sample is measured in accordance with workplace procedures.

3.2 Data input meets system requirements for shade correction and the type of sample being measured.

Range allowable dyestuff ranges, shade tolerance, other data required by the installed system.

3.3 Selected correction option achieves required shade.

Please note

Providers must be granted consent to assess against standards (accredited) by NZQA, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.

Industry Training Organisations must be granted consent to assess against standards by

NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.

Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

Requirements for consent to assess and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this standard are outlined in the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR). The

CMR also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors and assessors, and special resource requirements.
