Classification Surveying > Survey Practice Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 The following legislation and documentation must be complied with: Health and Safety at Work Act 2015; Trespass Act 1980; Cadastral Surveying Act 2002; Public Works Act 1981; Land Transfer Act 1952; equipment manufacturer's instructions; utility asset owners safety requirements; equipment operator licences; construction site safety plan; traffic management plan. 2 Personal protective equipment must be used throughout operations in accordance with workplace procedures. 3 Definition Workplace procedures refer to documented procedures specific to an enterprise which set out the quality management requirements for the business practice and activities of that enterprise. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Prepare for a topographical survey. Evidence requirements 1.1 Job requirements are confirmed in accordance with workplace procedures. 1.2 Survey methods and equipment are selected in accordance with job requirements. 1.3 Survey outcomes are identified in accordance with job requirements. Evidence requirements 2.1 Establish survey control in accordance with job requirements. 2.2 Survey measurement and observations are undertaken in accordance with job requirements. 2.3 Field data is reduced in accordance with job requirements Outcome 3 Develop and present survey outcomes. Evidence requirements 3.1 Outputs are produced in accordance with job requirements and good survey practice.
