Purpose
People credited with this unit standard are able to: prepare for
and perform a topographical survey, process field observations,
and develop and present survey outcomes.

1
The following legislation and documentation must be complied with:
Health and Safety at Work Act 2015; Trespass Act 1980; Cadastral Surveying Act
2002; Public Works Act 1981; Land Transfer Act 1952;
equipment manufacturer's instructions;
utility asset owners safety requirements;
equipment operator licences;
construction site safety plan;
traffic management plan.

Personal protective equipment must be used throughout operations in accordance
with workplace procedures.

Definition
Workplace procedures refer to documented procedures specific to an enterprise
which set out the quality management requirements for the business practice and
activities of that enterprise.
