Purpose
This unit standard is for people working or intending to work in the sports turf
industry.
People credited with this unit standard are able, for a sportsfield, to describe:
the playing surface requirements; the year round maintenance; fertiliser
requirements; and management of common weeds, pests, and diseases.

Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against

credits from assessment against unit standards.
