Purpose
This unit standard is for people working in the sports turf industry.
People credited with this unit standard are, for cricket blocks, able to
describe: the playing surface requirements; the year round maintenance;
fertiliser requirements; and the management of common weeds, pests, and
diseases.

Assessment is required to be carried out on maintenance of cricket blocks at the
trainee’s workplace.
