Range: equipment may include but is not limited to – hatcher baskets, hatcher dollies. 1.2 Samples for microbiological testing are collected, recorded, labelled, and dispatched in accordance with hatchery procedures. 1.3 Hatcher equipment and machinery is checked for function, and faults are identified and repaired or reported, in accordance with hatchery procedures. 1.4 Routine servicing, maintenance, and calibration of hatcher equipment and machinery are carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. 1.5 Hatcher is preheated to specified temperature in accordance with hatchery procedures. element 2 Check and transfer eggs to the hatcher. performance criteria 2.1 Eggs for hatching are identified and removed from the setter in accordance with hatchery procedures. 2.2 Eggs are transferred from setter fillers to hatcher baskets causing no damage to the eggs. 2.3 Defective eggs are identified and disposed of in accordance with hatchery procedures.
