People credited with this unit standard are able to: set out windows and doors; machine windows, doors, door frames, and sash materials; assemble windows, door frames, and sashes; and assemble doors. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Set out windows and doors. Evidence requirements 1.1 Windows and doors are set out to match the working drawings. 1.2 Profiles are determined from the working drawings or relevant standards. Outcome 2 Machine windows, doors, door frames, and sash materials. Evidence requirements 2.1 Required materials are run to the profiles detailed on the working drawings or relevant standards. 2.2 Joints are manufactured to working drawing specifications or in accordance with workplace practice. 2.3 Surfaces are finished in accordance with workplace practice. Outcome 3 Assemble windows, door frames, and sashes. Evidence requirements 3.1 The window and door frame joints are sealed prior to assembly in accordance with workplace practice. 3.2 The window sashes are assembled and finished in accordance with workplace practice. 3.3 The windows and door frames are assembled and finished in accordance with workplace practice. Outcome 4 Assemble doors. Evidence requirements 4.1 The door cramp is set up to match the size of the door. 4.2 Adhesive is applied and the door assembled in accordance with workplace practice. 4.3 The door is completed to specifications or customer requirements.
