The significance of the weight of hot dip galvanizing items is described in relation to the customer and hot dip galvanizing facility requirements.

1.2 Hazards of weighing hot dip galvanizing items are identified and controlled in accordance with the HSE Act and company procedures.

Range hazards include but are not limited to – lifting, moving machinery, load instability, personal injury.

1.3 Hot dip galvanizing items are collated and moved to scales in accordance with the required stage in the process and company procedures.

Range stage in process – before hot dip galvanizing, after hot dip galvanizing; collation may include

– batch, customer requirements, size, efficiency.

1.4 Weights of hot dip galvanizing items are read and recorded in accordance with company procedures.

Range record may include but is not limited to – job sheet, purchase order, packing slip.
