This standard requires the candidate to already hold the relevant licence for the class
of vehicle that will be driven and have demonstrated competence for the type of
vehicle to be driven. Credit for Unit 18496 Demonstrate knowledge and skills for
driving a forklift on a road for endorsement F (forklifts), and Unit 10851 Operate a
powered industrial lift truck (forklift), or demonstration of equivalent knowledge and
skills will be required if a forklift truck is to be used. For licensing requirements, refer
to Land Transport New Zealand http://www.landtransport.govt.nz.
