Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Set up the poultry carcass mincing machine for production. Performance criteria 1.1 The poultry carcass mincing machine is set up in accordance with the company operating procedures. 1.2 The poultry carcass mincing machine is set up in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures. 1.3 The poultry carcass mincing machine is set up in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and procedures. Element 2 Switch on and load the poultry carcass mincing machine. Performance criteria 2.1 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched on and loaded in accordance with the company operating procedures. 2.2 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched on and loaded in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures. 2.3 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched on and loaded in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and procedures. 2.4 The poultry carcass mincing machine is loaded in accordance with the company production throughput requirements. Element 3 Switch off and dismantle the poultry carcass mincing machine. Performance criteria 3.1 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched off and dismantled in accordance with the company operating procedures. 3.2 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched off and dismantled in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures. 3.3 The poultry carcass mincing machine is switched off and dismantled in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and procedures. Element 4 Clean the poultry carcass mincing machine. Performance criteria 4.1 The poultry carcass mincing machine is cleaned in accordance with the company operating procedures. Range 4.2 may include but is not limited to – correct cleaning product/s, correct methods. The poultry carcass mincing machine is clean and free from contamination in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and procedures. Range contamination may include but is not limited to – residual product, cleaning agents, foreign objects, microbiological. 4.3 Production downtime caused by cleaning of the poultry carcass mincing machine is minimised in accordance with the company production throughput requirements. 4.4 Wastage of cleaning agent during cleaning of equipment is minimised in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures. 4.5 Cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored in the assigned place in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and procedures. Please note Providers must be accredited by the Qualifications Authority, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by the Qualifications Authority before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
