Explanatory notes 1 Definitions Enterprise – an organisation where training and/or assessment is taking place, and/or where the trainee is employed. Enterprise procedures – actions which comply with the policies, systems, and directives in a particular enterprise. Enterprise procedures must comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and subsequent amendments. Trial – test and evaluate either a new film conversion product, or a film conversion product for which there is neither prior knowledge nor production set-up information available. Testing and evaluation of a product may also require testing of a process. 2 For assessment, the performance of all the evidence requirements must take place in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 1.2 Film conversion machine is set up and prepared. equipment may include – unwind, folders, inlet printing, zip tape angle seals, running seals, lamination, hot melt. Range 1.3 Initial film conversion machine conditions are set according to product design, material type, seal head, and attachments. 1.4 Trial procedures are carried out, and adjustments are made to optimise product quality, and productivity. 1.5 Trial results are recorded and samples are identified.
