Range: 1.2 Employer and employee responsibilities for demolition work are described in accordance with the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. Range: 1.3 protection of public, suppression of noise and dust, disposal of debris, disconnection of public utilities, protection of structures. notification of demolition works, hazard identification and management, emergency procedures, accident reporting. Requirements that may be imposed by territorial authorities for demolition work are described in accordance with the Resource Management Act 1991. Range: traffic control, hours of work, lighting, noise control, dust control. 1.4 Procedures for managing health hazards resulting from exposure to asbestos, lead, toxic fumes, synthetic mineral fibres, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and silica are described in accordance with legislative requirements. 1.5 Requirements regarding falling objects, children, barriers, and hazards affecting people and property off-site are described in accordance with the Building Code (the First Schedule to the Building Regulations 1992) and the Approved Code of Practice for Demolition, 1994. 1.6 Requirements for the demolition of storage tanks, and associated pipework and equipment are described in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice for Demolition, 1994. Range: evidence is required for at least three site safety plans which must include commercial sites, single storey demolition sites, multi-storey demolition sites. performance criteria 2.1 Demolition site safety plans identify the allocation of responsibilities for workplace implementation in accordance with AS 2601-2001. 2.2 Demolition site safety plans describe the proposed hazard identification methods in accordance with AS 2601-2001. 2.3 Demolition site safety plans describe the accident investigation methods and reporting process in accordance with AS 2601-2001. 2.4 Demolition site safety plans identify and describe the site safety precautions, personal protective equipment required, and emergency procedures in accordance with AS 2601-2001.
