Curriculum vitae is an account of a client’s personal attributes and/or education, qualifications, previous experience, and occupation/s. Formats refer to skill based, chronological, functional, general, or specific career based. 2 Legislation relevant to this unit standard includes but is not limited to: Privacy Act 1993, Human Rights Act 1993, Education Act 1989. Range evidence is required for three formats. Performance criteria 1.1 Curriculum vitae formats are identified for selected target groups. 1.2 The purpose of the curriculum vitae to be produced is identified in terms of type of employment and/or education to which it is targeted. 1.3 The curriculum vitae format is negotiated with the client in accordance with the intended purpose and the needs of the client. 1.4 The curriculum vitae format is adapted, where required, to meet the needs of the client in accordance with negotiated terms. Element 2 Assist clients to produce curriculum vitae. Performance criteria 2.1 Clients are assisted to identify and compile information for curriculum vitae in accordance with their circumstances and the purpose of the curriculum vitae. 2.2 A range of information sources are identified in accordance with the needs of the clients. 2.3 Assistance given to the clients to format curriculum vitae is in accordance with their needs. 2.4 Opportunities to clarify and identify curriculum vitae format requirements are available to the clients in accordance with expressed need. 2.5 The information on the clients’ completed curriculum vitae is in accordance with negotiated format. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
