This standard comprises this cover sheet and Australian unit of
competency DRTNHB16A.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: follow
workplace procedures for raisebore drilling; assist with
raisebore drilling process; mix drilling fluids (as required for
some operations); clean equipment; and carry out basic
maintenance of tools and equipment.
This standard covers the technical knowledge and practical
skills, specific to assisting with raiseboring operations. It will be
complemented by other general standards that cover the more
generic aspects of supporting drilling operations.
The standard applies to the raiseboring sector.

National Industry Skills Council for the Resources and Infrastructure sectors). The
MOU outlines moderation in New Zealand, the granting of consent to assess against
standards to providers in New Zealand, and the provision for participation of the
New Zealand industry in the review of this standard. This document can be viewed
