Evidence requirements 1.1 A diesel haul truck is described in terms of its operational characteristics, performance and limitations. Range safety features, controls, instruments, operating procedures, operating gradient, speed, capacity, components, operational limits. Outcome 2 Describe safety systems and conditions for operating a diesel haul truck in an underground operation. Evidence requirements 2.1 The safety systems and conditions for the diesel haul truck operation are described in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. Range systems may include but are not limited to – compressed air, emergency stop, brakes, hydraulics, sensors, interlocks, alarms, water and electrical services; conditions may include but are not limited to – roof and side security, traffic, lighting, accessibility, ventilation, roadway conditions, travelling route, dust, gas make and management, explosion risk zones (ERZs). Outcome 3 Check readiness and operate a diesel haul truck in an underground operation. Evidence requirements 3.1 Checks on diesel haul truck are completed in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. Range availability, suitability, capacity, pre-start checks, documentation. 3.2 Identified defects are reported and managed in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. 3.3 Diesel haul truck is operated in accordance with the job and the specifications of the machine. Evidence requirements 4.1 Diesel haul truck is unloaded for shutdown in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. 4.2 Diesel haul truck is parked and shut down in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. 4.3 Identified defects are reported and managed in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures. 4.4 Documentation is completed in accordance with industry best practice and company procedures.
