Evidence requirements

Rock material to be crushed is identified in terms of volume and type. 1.1

1.2 The attributes and specifications of crushers are analysed and selection is made in accordance with selection criteria.

Range may include but is not limited to criteria relating to – process flow, optimisation, consent conditions, product requirements, budget, material to be processed, mobile plant.

Outcome 2

Analyse and select screen types for extractive industries.

Evidence requirements

2.1 The attributes and specifications of screen types are analysed and selection is made in accordance with selection criteria.

Range may include but is not limited to criteria relating to – process flow, consent conditions, product requirements, budget, geology, mobile plant, product volumes.

2.2 The configuration and surface of the screens are analysed in relation to the selected equipment and required output.

Range may include but is not limited to – woven wire, perforated, rods, plastic mats, mesh characteristics, size and shape.

Outcome 3

Evaluate the layout of the selected plant.

Evidence requirements

3.1 The interrelationship of selected crushers and screens is evaluated in terms of output requirements and site layout.

Range may include but is not limited to

– stockpiles, reclaim, feed system access, processing plant flowchart, load-out, topography.
