Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Describe the role of quality assurance in concrete production. Evidence requirements 1.1 The terms quality, quality control and quality assurance are explained in terms of concrete production. 1.2 The methods that suppliers or customers can use to ensure that quality is maintained are identified in terms of industry standards. 1.3 The requirements for the quality control of precast items are outlined in terms of methods of sampling and compliance rules. Evidence requirements 3.1 Compliance testing of concrete is described in terms of sampling and testing requirements. sampling and testing requirements include but are not limited to – purchaser’s risk, consumer’s risk, compliance rules, specified strength requirements, quantity. Evidence requirements 4.1 The uses of statistical methods in concrete mix design are explained in terms of their relevance to quality control procedures.
