Identify gaps and propose recommendations for improvements. Sponsor: Rowan Miranda 2 Research Results Findings: • The Strategic framework process is in line with: B&F Goals the President’s vision and is favorably comparable to our peers • Emergent gaps based on interview feedback: lack of budget synchronization limited collaboration between AVPs complicated product and process lack of personal relevance to staff lacks long term vision Recommendations • Define the strategic initiative prior to budget preparation • Make funds available outside the budget process for special projects as identified • Collaborate with customers and provide coordinated services • Promote one or two key themes that impact all B&F units which are simple and memorable • Make initiatives relevant to staff by providing a better “line of sight” • Make a 3-5 year plan 4
