Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Design a plan to review a workplace procedure in a horticultural operation. Performance criteria 1.1 The plan to review a workplace procedure is clearly defined in accordance with workplace procedures. Range 1.2 may include but is not limited to – standards involved in the procedure, specific horticultural practices. The review plan meets organisational requirements. Range may include but is not limited to – review template, checklists to guide the review, occupational safety and health, food safety, best practice, workplace procedures, standards. 1.3 Performance criteria are specified in terms of the outcomes required. 1.4 The language, format and terminology of the review plan are appropriate for the target audience’s level of comprehension. Element 2 Conduct a workplace procedure review in a horticultural operation and document the outcome. Performance criteria 2.1 The review checks for conformance to requirements and validates inputs, processes and outputs against workplace procedures. Range 2.2 The review is completed using language, format and terminology appropriate for the target audience’s level of comprehension. Range 2.3 may include but is not limited to – workplace procedures, customer requirements, technical standards. may include but is a not limited to – effective questioning, listening and feedback, observation, validation checks. The review is documented in accordance with workplace procedures. New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 23708 version 1 Page 3 of 3 2.4 Recommended changes to the operating procedure is in accordance with workplace procedures and the integration of on-job training and assessment. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards. Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The AMAP also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors and assessors, and special resource requirements.
