NZQA registered unit standard 19618 version 3 Page 1 of 3 Title Demonstrate knowledge of documentation for glazing work Level 3 Credits Purpose 3 This theory-based entry-level unit standard is for people who work in the glass processing or glazing sectors of the glass industry. People credited with this unit standard are able to identify and describe the function of drawings, specifications, schedule of quantities and pricing lists, and progress payment documentation, for glazing work. These requirements include – company specifications and procedures, work instructions, manufacturer’s specifications, product quality specifications, legislative requirements. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Identify and describe the function of drawings for glazing work. Evidence requirements 1.1 Types of drawings are identified, and the function of each is described in accordance with worksite requirements. Range 1.2 types of drawings may include – site plans, plans, elevations, cross sections, details, plan of processing and loading; evidence of two different types is required. Functions of aspects of drawings are described in accordance with worksite requirements. Range aspects include – abbreviations, keys, scales, references to other drawings, references to other documentation. Range Outcome 3 Identify and describe the function of schedule of quantities and pricing lists for glazing work. Evidence requirements 3.1 Schedule of quantities is identified, and the function of the schedule of quantities is described in accordance with worksite requirements. functions include – describing quality and quantity of materials required, providing the basis for costing and pricing work. Range Outcome 4 Identify and describe the function of progress payment documentation for glazing work. Evidence requirements 4.1 Progress payment documentation is identified, and the function of that documentation is described in accordance with worksite requirements.
