Classification Electrical Engineering > Electrical Installation and Maintenance Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 This unit standard has been developed for learning and assessment on-job. 2 Range Electrical equipment may include but is not limited to – equipment, plant, or machinery powered by electricity, and which periodically requires attention in the form of inspection, adjustment, measurement, tuning, overhaul, component replacement, lubrication, or cleaning, so that it may continue to operate safely and efficiently, and in compliance with any legislative requirements. Evidence requirements 1.1 Requirements for routine maintenance are stated. 1.2 The importance of routine maintenance is described. Outcome 3 Assist with routine maintenance of electrical equipment. Evidence requirements 3.1 Equipment is located. 3.2 Manufacturer's manuals are identified. 3.3 Procedures for fault location are described. 3.4 Replacement parts are collected. 3.5 Materials are assembled. 3.6 Assistance is given while maintenance is carried out.
