Construction Health and Safety, and Injury Prevention with strands in On
Site Theory, On Site Practice, and On Site Management
(version 2)
The compulsory unit standards recognise the underlying knowledge and skills
required in order to plan, implement, review, and manage injury and hazard
prevention practices in the construction industry. The strands provide recognition
for the specific theoretical and practical skills required by people working in
industrial health and safety and supervisory roles in the industry.
The strand in On Site Management is comprised of all of the unit standards present
in the On Site Theory and On Site Practical strands, and is designed for those
wishing to work in a management role in the construction industry.

Version 2
This qualification was revised and issued as version 2 in August 2000 in
order to rectify an error. Unit standards 14607 and 14608 were not intended
to be part of the requirements for the On Site Practice strand. These unit
standards have been removed from the core compulsory section and are now
required for the On Site Theory and On Site Management strands only.
Any version of a unit standard contained within this qualification which
retains its original unit standard identification number will continue to meet
the requirements of this qualification.
