These include: site safety procedures; equipment operating procedures; standard job procedures; and procedures for the handling and disposal of materials and waste. Range: common problems to include – irregular plate width, tapered plate, feed faults, plate out of square, dented plate. 2.2 Scroll shear is test run in accordance with worksite procedures. 2.3 Scroll shear adjustments are made until scroll shear operates in accordance with worksite procedures. element 3 Perform quality control checks on a product from a mechanically automated scroll shear. Range: quality control checks to include – scrolled sheet width, off-cut width, tapered plate, scrolled plate burr. performance criteria 3.1 Quality control checks are performed and recorded in accordance with worksite procedures. 3.2 Quality control check results are explained in terms of relationships with scroll shear settings, product specification tolerances, and variance trends.
