Specific Degree Transfer Requirements: To be considered for admission to the School of Nursing as a transfer student,
an applicant must have a minimum 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) current college GPA, have completed at least 12 semester
credit hours (or equivalent) at a regionally accredited college or university, including completion of at least six hours of
college-level natural science courses (biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, etc.) with grades of B or higher.
Admission is selective. The best qualified applicants are selected from the pool of applicants.
Transfer applicants will be considered only for fall semester admission. Purdue evaluates Nursing applications once
each year. Nursing transfer applications must be complete by May 1.
A student who is admitted to Nursing will begin as a freshman in the nursing program and is projected to complete the
program in 8 semesters (4 years from the fall semester of admission.) Depending on space availability and completion of
necessary prerequisites listed above, it may be possible for a very few transfer students to actually complete the program
in 6 - 7 semesters.
