UMD Fleet Rental Procedures
UMD Fleet Rental is mainly operated by you, the user. In order to hold costs down
while providing satisfaction to our customers, we ask that you assist us in the
following ways:
• Fuel tank MUST be filled following each use. This assures the next driver that the
vehicle is ready to go at rental time. At refueling time, please fill windshield washer
if needed. Additional fluid may be purchased using the Voyager Card.
• Please note that CAR WASHES are available at discount with gas fill. Please take
advantage of this service if the vehicle is in need and time permits.
• All UMD Fleet vehicles are NON-SMOKING.
• All personal possessions and LITTER should be removed when vehicle is returned.
Please leave the vehicle as clean (or cleaner) than when you rented it.
• Report any MECHANICAL problems on the bottom of the charge slip or to the
reservations person upon return. Maintenance work, except in emergencies, will be
performed by the UMD Garage.
• Accurate ODOMETER READINGS should be recorded upon taking and returning
vehicles.
Remember, Fleet Rental vehicles are used only by your friends here at UMD. Please
treat the vehicles as you would your own and we will all share in the benefits.
