Syllabus -- ENGR 2304 UH equivalent -- ECE 1331
Instructor: Navid Tabrizi
Time: TBA
Prerequisite: Math 2413 Calculus I . 4 credits.
Textbook: William J. Palm III , Introduction To MatLab 7 For Engineers .
McGraw Hill 2005.
Homework: There will be 7-8 Homework assignments though out the semester.
Furthermore, there will be 4-5 projects to be completed. These assignments and projects will be collected and graded. Selected problems from previous homework assignments maybe used to administer a short quiz at the beginning of class period. Practice is absolutely necessary for mastery of the course materials. Be prepared to ask questions about any problems you are unable to work out and any material in the text you do not understand. Try to read the sections to be covered before the lecture period.
Final Exam: The final examination will be comprehensive and will cover all the course materials. The score on the final will count 25 % of the course grade. You must take the final exam in order to pass the course.

Purpose: This course is designed for students who intend to obtain a degree in an engineering discipline. It covers problem solving algorithm for advanced topics in engineering/calculus and application of technology for solving them. It is generally transferable as credit for engineering majors to University of Houston.
Students with disability should contact their counselors and provide them the necessary documentations for reasonable accommodation in classroom.
Course Objectives: Upon the completion of this course, the students should be able to but not limited the followings:
